K'taka reports 2116 cases of COVID, 21 deaths

Bengaluru, Nov 12 (UNI) Karnataka reported 2116 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of infections to 855912 in the state on Thursday.

According to official sources, as many as 21 persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24-hour, taking the total number of persons died due to the pandemic to 11474.

The sources said that in the last 24-hour as many as 3368 COVID-19 patients were discharged after recovering from the disease.

The Bengaluru Urban district reported a highest number of 1069 fresh cases of COVID, followed by Bagalakote 14, Ballari 41, Belagavi 54, Bengaluru Rural 43, Bidar 3, Chamarajanagara 24, Chikkamagaluru 37, Chitradurga 41, Dakshina Kannada 53, Davanagere 29, Dharwada 18, Gadag 5, Hassana 100, Haveri 6, Kalaburagi 51, Kodagu 8, Kolara 18, Koppala 28, Mandya 74, Mysuru 115, Raichuru 9, Ramanagara 12, Shivamogga 51,Tumakuru 80, Udupi 31, Uttara Kannada 32, Vijayapura 51 and Yadagiri 7.

During the last 24 hours, as many as 115386 persons had undergone COVID-19 tests including that of 27286 of the Rapid Antien Detection tests, the sources added.
