Prof Nawal Kishore wins from teacher's constituency

Patna, Nov 12 ( UNI) Professor Nawal Kishore Yadav of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) won

the election from Patna teachers constituency for Bihar Legislative Council by a margin of

1263 votes .

According to State Election Office professor Yadav defeated his nearest rival Narayan

Yadav. Professor Yadav was polled 3176 votes whereas Narayan Yadav got 1913 votes.

During the counting of votes 5766 ballots were found to be valid while 593 were declared

invalid due to discrepancies.

Accounting of votes for other teachers as well as graduate constituencies were in

progress.

Meanwhile, professor Yadav said that he would continue to raise the issues of teachers

and would fight for their cause.

Meghalaya delaying teachers’ salaries: BJP

Shillong, Nov 12 (UNI) The Centre has released the SSA teacher's salaries but the State
government is delaying in its disbursement, the State Unit of the BJP, which is a constituent
of the ruling Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) said on Thursday and urged the State
Government to release the pending salaries of the teachers and all other government
employees who were deprived of their dues during ‘lockdown’.

policy for Kharif marketing season (KMS) 2020-21 and set a tentative target to procure
