Punjab seeks Rs 1,000 cr aid from NABARD

Mumbai/Chandigarh, November 11

The Punjab Government today sought Rs 1,000 crore from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for giving a fillip to cooperative institutions and provide relief to farmers as both of them are facing financial crunch due to Covid.

Cooperation Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said during his meeting with the NABARD Chairman, assistance was sought under the Special Liquidity Facility and Long-Term Rural Credit Fund. — TNS
