Investigation will be done automatically with the help of satellite data and the geographic information system.

The related order was issued at Mantralaya by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during a meeting of the Bhopal Smart City Development Corporation Limited. The senior politician reviewed progress of projects to be completed within the next three to six months.

In the 2020-21 fiscal, a total Rs 598 cr has been approved in two instalments for places with million-plus population. The break-up is Bhopal Rs 176 cr, Indore Rs 202 cr, Gwalior Rs 102 cr and Jabalpur Rs 118 cr. Besides, Rs 1,320 cr was ratified for 403 urban bodies and five cantonment councils in areas with non-million-plus population.

“Names of individuals disclosing information will not be revealed,” the senior politician was officially quoted as assuring while flagging off nine air-conditioned mobile laboratories – under Health Department supervision – for the state’s divisions from Mantralaya. Thus, preliminary testing of urea, detergents, potable water, sugar, edible oil and other daily use items such as cheese, milk and spices may be executed on the spot. Televisions and loudspeakers have also been installed in these vehicles that are capable of conducting a total 102 types of tests.
