Nabarangpur police seize illegal property worth over Rs 4.77 cr from three ganja mafias

Nabarangpur, (Odisha) Nov 11 (UNI) In a massive crackdown against the Ganja mafias, Nabarangpur police have achieved a breakthrough in seizing illegally acquired property worth of approximately Rs 4.77 crore and traced cash transaction of around Rs 4.59 crore.
The police team led by Nabarangpur Superintendent of police Nitin Kusalkar comprising ASP Jayakrushna behera, DSP Chandra Sekhar Hota, SDPO Aditya Sen and Inspector Natabar Nanda has made the breakthrough.
Mr Kusalkar said three accused Prabhakar Mali, Anirudha Mali and Ramesh Mali all belonged to Panarguda village under Kosagumuda police station, remain in the background and support the narcotics operation in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
The police have seized four buildings, four-acre 82cent land, one bullet, one scooty and a car besides two tractors with trolleys.
The SP said the police also sealed a cash balance of Rs 9,76,309 (Moveable property) and traced the financial transaction of Rs 4,59,68,289 from 14 accounts.
All the accounts have been frozen and the further financial investigation is going on to trace the buyer of NDPS, Mr Kusalkar said.
