
South Africa recorded 106 more Covid-19-related deaths by Tuesday, bringing the death toll to 19 951.
The fatalities have been reported in the following provinces: 12 in KwaZulu-Natal, 24 in the Eastern Cape, 15 in the Free State, 33 in North West, seven in Gauteng and 15 in the Western Cape.
Of the 106 deaths reported by Tuesday, 15 were reported to have occurred in the past 24 to 48 hours.

"We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients," Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said in a statement on Tuesday evening.
The cumulative number of tests conducted to date is 5 010 350, with 17 269 new tests conducted since the last report.
In total, 683 194 recoveries have been recorded, which translates to a recovery rate of 92%.
