The Railway Safety Commissioner issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) for launching the 76.6m-long girder of Patripul bridge, Kalyan.
MSRDC asked for four-hour blocks on November 21 and 22 to launch the girder. Kalyan MP Dr Shrikant Shinde said he requested Central Railway to hold megablocks on the routes that will be hit.
