PM Modi: India has moved from tax terrorism towards tax transparency

At the inauguration, he highlighted how his government, through its emphasis on “reform, perform and transform”, has brought in more tax transparency.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated an office-cum-residential complex of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) in Cuttack via video conferencing. At the inauguration, he highlighted how his government, through its emphasis on “reform, perform and transform”, has brought in more tax transparency.

“Under the previous governments, tax terrorism was a popular word. Today the country has left that behind and we have moved towards tax transparency now,” Modi said.

The programme was also attended by Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
