Ranchi, Nov 11 (UNI) The state has reached yet another milestone in its battle against Coronavirus as on Wednesday the total number of people who had been cured of Covid-19 crossed the one lakh-mark.
The Coronavirus tally in the state on Wednesday reached to 1,05,224 as 284 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 21 districts.
During the day, 3 deaths were reported including 1 each from East Singhbhum, Bokaro and Ranchi districts as a result of which the overall death count has reached to 913. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.86 per cent.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 4,009 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,00,302. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 913.
On Wednesday a maximum number of 78 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 40 in Bokaro, 37 in Dhanbad, 31 in Bokaro, 29 in East Singhbhum and 16 in Gumla (top five districts). No cases were found in Jamtara, Koderma and Pakur districts during the day.
A total of number of 314 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 98 from Ranchi, 40 from East Singhbhum, 28 Bokaro, 23 from Giridih and 22 from Gumla district.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 95 percent mark to currently stand at 95.32 percent in Jharkhand.
So far in the state 37,33,150 samples have been collected out of which 37,14,582 have been tested and 36,09,358 have turned out to be negative.
