Chennai: Tamil Nadu Farmers Association led by Ponnusamy and Secretary Ramamoorthi staged a dharna at Salem Collector Office.

They demanded hydration project of Cauvery-Sarabanga to be done through the watercourse.

There was a brief tussle between police and the protestors when they tried to get inside the Collector office. This resulted in their dharna outside the office. After sometime, only five members were allowed in the District Collector's office.

They filed a petition of objection with the Collector's office before disbanding the protests.
