Pollution is rising everywhere. With Diwali around the corner, the air pollution is going to get higher so it is important to take care of your skin during such times. Every time you step out, your face is the most exposed body part and it can take a toll on your skin health. Exposure to smog can cause early signs of ageing, acne and even skin irritation.
The pollutants tend to block the pores in your skin leading to acne. They can also irritate the skin, causing itching, dermatitis which may further dry the skin, leading to eczema and other related problems. Here's how you can take care of your skin.

Cleansing: The most basic thing you can do is to make sure that you wash your face with a good face wash, use a good cleanser to gently remove all the dirt & pollutants that may have settled on your skin.

Exfoliate regularly: Make it a habit to regularly exfoliate your skin. This can help to get rid of dead skin cells. Indulge in this ritual once a week
Use a face mask: Covering your with a face mask is also a good idea as it protects your face from a lot of the pollution out there

Eat a diet rich in antioxidants & vitamins: This can help to improve the quality of your skin, especially when it is exposed to a lot of pollutants. Add foods rich in Vitamin C, E, Omega-3, Beta-carotene like oranges, almonds, flaxseeds and spinach.
