Fireworks stored illegally seized in Fatehgarh Sahib

Fatehgarh Sahib, November 10

The district police have recovered a huge quantity of firecrackers stored illegally by sellers in godowns at Mandi Gobindgarh and Sirhind.

SP (Investigation) JS Jallah said on the directions of SSP Amneet Kondal, SHOs had been directed to conduct raids to check illegal sale and storage of crackers in the district.

Mandi Gobindgarh SHO Prem Singh and Fatehgarh Sahib SHO Rajnish Sood, following a tip-off, raided godowns of wholesale dealers at Mandi Gobindgarh and Sirhind and recovered a huge quantity of crackers stored illegally.

He said the Deputy Commissioner had issued an order under Section 144 of CrPC banning sell or storage of crackers. — OC
