Ajith de Silva new CEO of Sri Lanka's South Asia Textiles

Sri Lanka’s Ambeon Group recently announced appointing Ajith de Silva as the new managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of its subsidiary South Asia Textiles Limited as part of a planned strategic leadership change. Silva was the MD-cum-CEO of Kenpark & Regency Garments, Bangladesh, an extension of the Hirdaramani Group.

Before that, Silva was the general manager at Growth Lanka and the chief financial officer of Bodyline, a part of the MAS Group, according to Sri Lankan media reports.

He is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK.

South Asia Textiles, which commenced its commercial operations in 2004, specialises in knitting, dyeing, finishing, printing, bushing, and sueding preshrunk fabric for leading global brands such as Victoria Secret, Next, Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Calvin Klein, Decathlon and Adidas.
