Mah: Journalist Association demand welfare scheme

Pune, Nov 11 (UNI) Sarva Adhikar Patrakar Sangh on Wednesday penned a letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray, demanding to provide pension, among other facilities, to the journalists having 15 years of work experience.
The letter seeks that the state should also provide the journalists with the facilities of housing and medical, apprised Sangh President Kanchan Badwane.
She further said that she has been crusading for the rights of the scribes since long. Recently, a meet was held with the concerned government officials who have assured to look into the said demands, she added.
The government, she said, has recently started the pension for a few selected journalist but it should be implemented for all those who have completed 15 years in the field of journalism.
She requested the government to help those scribes who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 crisis.
