PM Modi addresses party workers at BJP headquarters: Key points

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday thanked the people of the country for enthusiastically participating in the festival of democracy.
He was addressing the party workers after the stellar performance in the Bihar assembly polls at BJP headquarters in Delhi. The event is being attended by party chief JP Nadda, home minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh and other BJP leaders.
Here are the key points:
* The secret to winning Bihar elections is 'Sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwaas'. It is a victory of the development works in the state.
* The people of India have clearly stated that the only point of debate during elections would be development in the 21st century India. People of India are asking every other party to come to this plank, and showing them that these are the real issues.
* BJP is the only national party in which poor, dalits, deprived see their representation; only the BJP understands need of every section and region.
* These poll results broaden the outcome of Lok Sabha polls: PM Modi referring to BJP's success in polls, bypolls across the country.
* Polls results have endorsed the way we have tackled the Covid-19 pandemic.
* Everyone is asking how did this happen? We can find an answer in yesterday's results. The people of India are repeatedly making it clear that the chance to serve the country will be given to those who work sincerely towards the country's development.
* People have decided that development alone will be the basis of national politics in 21st century.
* Youth of the country today knows it very well that dynasty politics poses biggest threat to democracy. Unfortunately, a national-level political party is caught in the web of family politics. In such a situation, the role of BJP increases even more.
* In our party, we have to further strengthen the principles of democracy, that is what makes our party powerful.
* Those who aren't able to challenge us in a democratic way, they have taken up killing of BJP workers in some parts of the country to fulfil their desires. I want to make them understand that this dance of death won't help them win a mandate.
* The BJP won in the east, hoisted the lotus flag in Manipur. The BJP won in the west, won in Gujarat. The BJP won in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh also. And the BJP got success in Karnataka-Telangana in the south as well.
* No re-polling and peaceful conduct of voting were the distinctive features of Bihar elections. Earlier there used to be news of booth capturing, etc.
* These days, we get headlines such as 'Rise in polling numbers of women' and 'Rise in number of votes given' which is a massive change from our past.
* 'Silent voters' that the BJP has got are women across all the rural and urban regions of the country.
* Poll win or loss is a different thing, but our election process is a matter of pride for every Indian.
* Elections were held on some seats and some areas only, but from yesterday morning till late night the eyes of the entire nation were on TV, social media and the website of the Election Commission. The belief that we Indians have about democracy is not found anywhere else in the world.
* I want to thank the people of the country, not because they made the BJP win the polls across the states, but also because all of us enthusiastically participated in the festival of democracy.
* I congratulate every worker of the NDA as well as their families for the success of their dedicated work and contribution in the elections. I want to congratulate BJP President JP Nadda ji for the victory in the polls.
* I want to thank every single person and the Election Commission and state officials who ensured that the election process was a success and was done so in a peaceful manner.
* The NDA won a clear majority of 125 seats in the Bihar polls on Tuesday and success in the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
