NEW DELHI: S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading flat with a negative bias at 01:40PM (IST) on Wednesday.
Shares of India Tourism Dev Corp (up 12.87 per cent), VST Tillers Tractors (up 8.95 per cent), HBL Power Systems (up 7.92 per cent), Somany Home Innovation (up 7.15 per cent) and Arvind (up 6.93 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Thomas Cook (India) (down 5.88 per cent), ITD Cementation India (down 5.27 per cent), Greenpanel Industries (down 4.99 per cent), Subex (down 4.83 per cent) and PNB Gilts (down 4.79 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.06 per cent down at 15223.09 around 01:40PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 16.80 points at 12647.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 34.47 points at 43243.18.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Alok Industries and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Balkrishna Ind., Kotak Bank, JSW Steel, UltraTech Cem. and Escorts hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Darjeeling Ropeway Company Ltd., Mehai Technology Ltd., Vikas Proppant & Granite Ltd., Pazel International Ltd., SITI Networks Ltd., Mukta Agriculture Ltd., Primuss Pipes & Tubes Ltd. and Goblin India Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
