Two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter between militants and security forces on Tuesday during a siege and search operation in the Shopian district of south Kashmir. Precautionary mobile Internet service in the area has been discontinued.


Official sources said that after receiving information about the hiding of two to three militants from Jammu and Kashmir Police Special Operations Group (SOG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Rashtriya Rifles (RR), they left Shopian at 4 am today Commenced joint siege and search operation at Kutpora Gnawa.
