BJP wins Tundla assembly seat in UP

Lucknow, Nov 10 (UNI) BJP candidate Prem Pal Singh Dhangar defeated his nearest rival and SP candidate Maharaj Singh Dhangar by over 17,216 votes to win the Tundla assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh. BJP retained the seat.
While the BJP candidate got 72,305 votes, SP candidate got 55,025 votes. The BSP candidate Sanjeev Kumar Chak got 40,701 votes.
In 2017, BJP candidate SP Singh Baghel won the polls but he got elected in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. But due to some legal hitches, the bypolls were delayed.

Chandigarh, Nov 10 (UNI) Haryana Transport Minister. Mool Chand Sharma said that a letter has been written to the District Attorney regarding the removal of ESMA against the employees on strike. Besides this, the employees can avail an accident insurance facility of up to Rs 35 lakh by opening their salary account with banks namely HDFC, ICICI, Corporation and State Bank of India. In case of natural death, the family of the deceased employee will get an insurance amount of Rs 10 lakh.

Chandigarh, Nov 10 (UNI) Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation has provided financial assistance of Rs 660.43 lakh to 952 beneficiaries under various schemes during the current financial year till October 2020, including subsidy of Rs 61.40 lakh. Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the Corporation provides loans under various categories to people belonging to the scheduled castes so that they can establish their business and become self-employed. These categories include agriculture and allied sectors, industrial sector, trade and business sector and self-employment sector. Financial assistance is also being provided to them under the schemes implemented with the help of National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation.

Punjab CM allows green fire crackers in state for 2 hours on Diwali & Gurpurab

Chandigarh, Nov 10 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday announced a 2-hour window for use of green fire crackers on Diwali and Gurpurab, with a curb for Christmas too across the state, except in Mandi Gobindgarh, where a total ban has been imposed from the midnight of November 9-10 till November 30-December 1 midnight on account of its poor AQI levels.
