Pooja Hedge clarifies after her 'Tollywood is obsessed with navel and midriff' remark angers netizens

In one of her more recent interviews, actress Pooja Hegde remarked that south Indian films have an obsession with 'navels and midriffs'. The actress made these comments as she spoke about her film 'Ala Vaikunthapruramuloo'. However, as it turns out, Pooja's words have not gone down well with netizens, who have been trolling her mercilessly for being ungrateful to the industry that made her who she is today. In the wake of severe backlashes, now, Pooja has issued a clarification saying that her comments have been blown out of proportion. Her statement reads as follows, 'Things I said in a recent interview are being misinterpreted. The things I said can be twisted but the love I have for Tollywood can’t. Telugu film industry has always been vital for me...I will forever be indebted to the Telugu film industry.'
