Results of nine seats declared, six in favour of NDA, Grand Alliance gets 3 seats

Patna, Nov 10 (UNI) Results of a total of nine assembly seats have been declared so
far with six going in favour of NDA while Grand Alliance got three seats, even though
trends in remaining seats indicated lead of 16 seats for NDA over the Grand Alliance.
Election Commission has declared results of 9 Assembly seats so far with 6 going
in favour of NDA and three in favour of of Grand Alliance.
NDA constituents BJP, JD(U) and VIP got three, two and one seat respectively while
Grand Alliance constituents RJD and Congress got two and one seats each.
As per the trend made available by Election Commission in remaining seats, NDA is
leading in 120 seeds while Grand alliance is leading in 104 seats. BJP is leading in 72
seats, JD(U) in 41 and VIP in four seats. On the other hand, Grand Alliance partners,
RJD is leading in 67 seats, Congress in 19, CPI and CPI( M) in 3 seats each while
CPI(ML) is leading in 12 seats.
Senior RJD leader and former Bihar Minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui lost to Murari Mohan
Jha of BJP by a margin of 5267 votes in Keoti assembly seat. BJP wrested this seat
from RJD.
State working president of JD(U) Ashok Kumar Choudhary defeated Umesh Kumar
Ram of Congress by a margin of 1537 votes in Sakra assembly seat. JD( U) wrested
this seat from RJD .

Southern Angami–I Assembly Constituency and Pungro-Kiphire Assembly Constituency after
counting of votes for the by-elections of two Assembly constituencies are over today.
