Results of 175 seats declared, Oppn lodges protest alleging bungling

Patna, Nov 10 (UNI) Results of 175 Assembly seats were declared so far with NDA bagging 86 seats, while Grand Alliance garnered 82 seats, even though the Opposition parties lodged protest with the Election Commission, alleging that administrative machinaries were misused to influence the results in favour of the ruling parties.
The EC declared results of 175 seats so far. NDA got 86 seats, while 82 seats went into the kitty of Grand Alliance. In NDA, BJP won 49 seats, JD(U) 30, VIP 04 and HAM won 3 seats while in Grand Alliance, RJD got 57 seats, Congress 13, CPI (ML) 9, CPI 1 and CPI (M) 02 seats.
As per the latest trend available, BJP is leading in 22 sets, JD(U) in 12, HAM in 01 seat while RJD is leading in 20 seats, Congress in 6, CPI(ML) in 3, CPI in 2 seats. AIMIM won 4 seats and the party is leading in one seat while BSP and Independent won one seat each.
A delegation of Opposition parties, including RJD, Congress and others, submitted a memorandum to the EC, alleging that administrative machinaries were misused to influence the results in favour of the ruling parties.
In some seats, where difference was narrow, the established rule was not followed. Even the Returning Officer did not issue certificates to those belonging to the Opposition parties, who had won the seat, they alleged.
Congress leaders Madan Mohan Jha, Tarique Anwar and RJD leader Manoj Jha were among others, who called
on the EC.
