Lucknow, Nov 10 (UNI) Reinforcing the cause of 'Mission Shakti' campaign of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the main platform of the historical 'Deepotsav' in Ayodhya will be marked by the staging of all-women Ram Lila of Chhattisgarh on November 13.
The Satya Sai Ramlila Mandali of Balod district of Chhattisgarh will stage it on the occasion of Deepawali in Ayodhya.
The special feature of this year's Ramlila will be the aspects like scripting, music, writing and direction, which are being taken care of by only women artists. Mata Kaushaula was born in South Kosal Pradesh in Chhattisgarh.
As a mark of respect, the Mandali will present the interactive scene between Mata Kaushalaya and Lord Ram.
It will further be a tribute to the 'Mission Shakti' campaign of Uttar Pradesh as the women of other states are performing here on the occasion as big as 'Deepotsav 2020'. In fact, the women of this mandali have taken up the cause of reviving the fading tradition of Ramlila in Chhattisgarh.
The Culture Department of Uttar Pradesh has organised a number of programmes in Ayodhya this Diwali dedicated to the 'woman power'. The famous poetess of Lucknow Sushri Kavita Tiwari will render a poem on Lord Ram and Ram Janmabhoomi.
The well-renowned Aishnabgh Ramlila Samiti of Lucknow will present the Shabri episode as depicted in Kamban's Ramayan.
Meanwhile, the UP government is gearing up for the Deepotsav celebrations, the first since the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic and the commencement of the Ram temple construction.
Started by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in 2017, the grand Diwali celebrations this year includes digital push by the UP Tourism Department to promote the event.
The celebrations will be held for three days will start at 1500 hrs on November 13. For this, the state tourism department has launched a social media campaign with the hashtag #Deepotsav2020.
The 'Deepotsav-2020' is scheduled to be held in Ayodhya from November 12 to November 16 2020. For this, UP Tourism has launched a social media campaign with the hashtag #Deepotsav2020. The campaign includes a lucky draw to increase the participation of people.
Quizzes on the life of Lord Ram will be held for the general public, and attractive rewards will be offered to those social media users who win the trivia. The campaign also aims to shed light on the history behind the Deepotsav celebration.
The campaign also urges social media users to post their selfies on social media by lighting a lamp with the hashtag to be featured by the UP government. The social media campaign began on November 4 and will continue till November 13.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Joint Director of UP Tourism Department Avinash Chandra Mishra said, 'As per the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deepotsav will be celebrated under the strict guidelines related to COVID-19. CM Yogi has also given orders to decorate Ayodhya grandly to celebrate Deepotsav.'
