NCB recovers 'banned tablets' from Arjun Rampal’s residence, summons actor and girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades

Nearly a month after the Narcotics Control Bureau nabbed a South African national Agisilaos Demetriades - the brother of Arjun Rampal's girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades, now the agency he has summoned the actor and his girlfriend on November 11 and 12, respectively. Reportedly, its officials found two ‘banned tablets’ during a search of his residence in Capri Heights, Bandra. During the search, which lasted for several hours, the NCB besides questioning Rampal's driver, also seized laptops, mobile phone, tablets. The seizure fell under the ambit of the NDPS Act. Furthermore, sources reportedly said the model-actor had told NCB officials that he had a doctor’s prescription for the tablets. 'Let Rampal prove it,' an official commented. Bollywood has been under intense probe since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14 revealed an alleged drug nexus angle in the industry.
