The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in the Dubbaka by-election results. The votes polled in Dubbaka by-election 2020 are being counted today and the BJP is leading with over 13,000 votes. CM Chandrashekhar Rao-led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is close behind with just over 10,000 votes. Congress, on the other hand, is far behind the two parties.
BJP's Ram Madhav is hoping for a "surprise victory" for the saffron party as the early trends show the party leading by 2,684 votes in the Dubbaka by-election results 2020. Ram Madhav said, "An interesting fight in Telangana between BJP n TRS in Dubbaka Assembly by poll. BJP is currently leading. This could be a surprise victory for BJP."

The by-election has become the centre of a high decibel battle for the ruling TRS, BJP, and Congress in an otherwise ordinary constituency.
The polls have become a prestige battle for ruling TRS as Dubbaka shares its borders with Gajwel, represented by CM KCR, Sircilla -- the constituency of CM's son and IT Minister KTR, and Siddipet, the stronghold of CM's nephew Harish Rao.
The by-election to Dubbaka assembly constituency was necessitated by the death of TRS MLA Ramalinga Reddy.
In Dubbaka by-election, the TRS has fielded Ramalinga Reddy's wife Solipeta Sujatha while the BJP has contested M Raghunandan Rao. Congress has tried Cheruku Srinivas Reddy in the Dubbaka constituency. A total of 23 candidates are in the poll fray. The Dubbaka constituency had witnessed 82 per cent voting on November 2.
