Rohit Sharma's 68 and Trent Boult's 3/30 - including two wickets in his first two overs - helped Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by five wickets in the final of Indian Premier League 2020. With this win, Mumbai added a fifth IPL title to their kitty, more than any other team in the 13-year history of the league. Chasing 157 to win, Mumbai got 33 off the first three overs as Quinton de Kock tore into the Delhi bowlers. He was dismissed by Marcus Stoinis but Rohit carried on to hit a match-defining fifty and stitched crucial partnerships with de Kock (20), Suryakumar Yadav (19) and Ishan Kishan (33 not out) to keep Mumbai in control. Earlier, Shreyas Iyer (65 not out) and Rishabh Pant (56) helped Delhi score 156 for 7 after they were 22 for 3 at one stage. Boult got three while Nathan Coulter-Nile got two wickets for Mumbai. - 22:51 (IST)WICKET! Hardik c Rahane b Nortje 3 (5)Anti-climax here. Nortje digs it short, Hardik pulls, but finds Rahane at short mid-wicket.Just a little bit longer before MI complete the formalities...
- 22:48 (IST)MI 154/4 in 18 overs; need 3 off 12 ballsMI are one hit away from their fifth IPL title.
- 22:47 (IST)FOUR!Touch.Kishan gets some width outside off and he just guides it through the gap at third man for four by opening the face of the bat and using the bowler's pace. It's too late now, surely, for DC. Just five more runs need to win.
- 22:45 (IST)WICKET! Pollard b Rabada 9 (4)Bowled him! Is it too late, though? An inside edge off Pollard's bat takes the ball crashing into the stumps. Have DC got another opening here? It's not over until the last ball.MI 147/4, need 10 off 17 balls.
- 22:42 (IST)FOUR! FOUR! Pollard has arrived! No more comebacks, says Pollard, as he drives his first ball over mid-off for four.Every time DC make a comeback, MI pull things back immediately by being ultra aggressive.Next ball? Pulled through mid-wicket for another four!10 needed off 18.
- 22:40 (IST)WICKET! Rohit c (sub) Lalit Yadav b Nortje 68 (51)Has it happened? Is this the opening DC need?A slower short ball, an off cutter by Nortje that got big on Rohit. He goes through with the pull anyway but only gets a top edge.Substitute fielder Lalit Yadav comes running in from deep mid-wicket and takes an excellent catch, grabbing the ball only a few inches off the ground.MI 137/2, need 20 off 23 balls.
- 22:38 (IST)Just 20 more runs needed for MI to winThis final hasn't been anything like the last IPL final - Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians - that went to the final ball. But, but... anything could STILL happen!
- 22:36 (IST)FOUR!Slapped!Slightly short by Praveen Dubey and Kishan rocks back before slapping it through the covers for four. The next ball is quicker but meets the same fate. This was hit straighter, through long-off, for another four.MI keep cruising in this chase.
- 22:33 (IST)SIX! MI 126/2 after 15 oversKishan goes big!Stoinis takes off the pace and bowls it wide outside off but Kishan threw at it eveything he had. The ball has sailed over long-off and landed beyond the sight screen.Huge hit.
- 22:26 (IST)MI 116/2 after 14 oversOnly four runs off Axar's last over as he finishes with 0/16 from his four.As teams head into the final time out of the match, Delhi have more to think about than Mumbai.DC need wickets in a heap if they are to make a comeback in this contest.
- 22:25 (IST)The milestones keep coming for Rohit
A well made half-century for @ImRo45 in his 200th outing in the IPL.

He also breaches the 3000-run mark as Captain.#Dream11IPL #Final pic.twitter.com/siJMPAWEWW - 22:22 (IST)FOUR!Ashwin bowls it too quick and outside off. Rohit hits that through the point region for another four.MI have kept Ashwin wicket-less and that's shown on Ashwin's confidence. After 13 overs, MI 112/2.
- 22:18 (IST)50 for Rohit!Rohit hits Rabada for 4, 4 to reach his 50 and counter the effects for that wicket.Mumbai are back in control of this contest. They are 102/2 in 12 overs, needing 55 off 48 balls.
- 22:14 (IST)WICKET! Suryakumar run out (Praveen) 19 (21)That's a sacrifice by Suryakumar. Rohit hit this ball straight to Praveen at mid-off and sprinted off for a run even as Surya yelled "no, no" at the other end.Surya took off only after both batsmen were at the non-striker's end and the throw had been collected at the striker's end. He crossed Rohit before Pant whipped off the bails.A timely wicket for DC.After 11 overs, MI are 91 for 2.
- 22:10 (IST)Halfway stage: MI 88/1 after 10 oversMumbai need 69 runs off 60 balls. Too easy at this stage.DC need wickets in a heap.
- 22:09 (IST)FOUR!A paddle-sweep this time. Rohit gets inside the line of that ball by Axar and plays it through fine leg for another four. He is toying with the bowlers here at the moment.
- 22:07 (IST)SIX! MI 81/1 after 9 oversAnd again!Dubey is getting some pasting here. The bowler gave the ball some air there and Rohit came dancing down to get to the pitch and hit that high and long over long-on for another six.MI are cruising.
- 22:06 (IST)SIX!Praveen Dubey overpitches and Rohit launches this one over the bowler's head for six. A much-needed release shot for Mumbai as DC had built some pressure over the last two overs.
- 22:04 (IST)MI 67/1 after 8 oversA quiet over there by Axar as only two runs come in the over. DC need more such overs to build pressure and then hope the batsmen make mistake.
- 22:01 (IST)MI need 92 off 78 ballsThe Powerplay has made things easier for MI in the final. Two of their most experienced batsmen are at the crease and they will look to steer this chase through and give their team a fifth title.
- 21:56 (IST)Another milestone for Rohit!

— IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) November 10, 2020 - 21:55 (IST)End of Powerplay: MI 61/1 after 6 oversJust the kind of Powerplay that Mumbai were after. This has made things easier for the middle and lower middle order should the chase get tight in the end and the pressure of the final makes things tough even for the experienced hands of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard.
- 21:49 (IST)FOUR! SIX! Great aggression by Mumbai! When fire meets fire!Suryakumar Yadav comes out to bat and slaps his first ball through the covers for four.Next ball? Six.50 up for MI!Short ball, pulled over square leg for six.
- 21:48 (IST)WICKET! Quinton de Kock c Pant b Stoinis 20 (12)Stoinis strikes! He has been the man with the golden touch for DC over the past two games. He floats this one outside off stump and de Kock slashes at it. An outside edge off the bat takes the ball to Pant behind the wickets.
- 21:46 (IST)SIX! MI 45/0 after 4 oversRohit Sharma has arrived! This ball wasn't short at all. But do you remember those Rohit pull-shots off the front foot? Yes, he pulls this one off the front foot, over mid-wicket for another six.MI are going at over 10 runs per over.
- 21:45 (IST)FOUR!Nortje into the attack. He bowls short to Rohit - a cardinal sin - and the batsman pulls that over backward square leg for a four.MI are bossing this final at the moment.
- 21:41 (IST)MI 33/0 after 3 oversThe runs continue to flow for Mumbai. De Kock looks to be in some kind of hurry here. He smashes Ashwin through mid-wicket for four on the last ball of the third over.
- 21:38 (IST)MI off to a great start - 22/0 after 2 oversMumbai have come out all guns blazing. They have raced away to 22 in just two overs with Rabada's first over yielding 14 runs for the defending champions.DC need a wicket and they need it now!
- 21:37 (IST)SIX!Is Rabada really the highest wicket-taker of IPL 2020?De Kock certainly is treating Rabada like a net bowler. This was in the slot, full length outside off, and de Kock hit that over wide long-on for a six.
- 21:36 (IST)FOUR! Leg byes!Bad lines by Rabada. He sprays this one down the leg side and it takes de Kock's pads on the way before running down the fine leg boundary.Great start already for Mumbai!
- 21:35 (IST)FOUR!Crunched!Just short of good-length and some width outside off stump and de Kock slaps that through the covers for four. Both openers have got a boundary each.
- 21:32 (IST)Ashwin to Rohit – SIX!Rohit comes dancing down the wicket and hits Ashwin over long-on for six. The man at the boundary was interested but this was hit hard enough to just clear him and land beyond the rope.Good start for Mumbai!MI 8/0 after 1 over.
- 21:29 (IST)We're ready for Mumbai's reply!R Ashwin will bowl the first over.Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock are opening the batting for Mumbai Indians.
- 21:15 (IST)Delhi Capitals 156 for 7 in 20 overs!DC finish with 156 for 7 in 20 overs. Captain Iyer remains unbeaten on 65 off 50 balls. Will this be enough for an in-form Mumbai batting line-up? It's the final. Anything is possible in cricket.Stay tuned.
- 21:14 (IST)SIX!Finally, Iyer gets under one.Coulter-Nile bowls one short and outside off and Iyer throws the kitchen sink at it. He hits this one hard and the ball goes sailing over mid-wicket for six.
- 21:11 (IST)WICKET! Axar c (sub) Roy b Coulter-Nile 9 (9)This was a slower ball, bowled short in length by Coulter-Nile. Axar got hold of the ball and smashed it over mid-wicket. However, he fails to clear the man in the deep. Clever bowling by Coulter-Nile and justly rewarded.
- 21:10 (IST)When Pant got going against Krunal

One straight down the ground and the other hit over mid-wicket. A couple of @RishabhPant17 classics for maximums.

- 21:04 (IST)DC 142 for 5 after 18 oversBumrah will bowl the 19th. How many runs can DC take off Bumrah? Will 160 be enough in the final?Stay tuned.
