Raman attacks Bhupesh govt over allegation of Cong MLA

Raipur, Nov 10 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party national vice president and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has sharply attacked the Bhupesh government over the allegation publicly raised by a ruling Congress MLA that law and order situation in the state has deteriorated.

Dr Singh said in a statement issued here today that an MLA from the ruling party from Bilaspur publicly alleged before Home Minister about arbitrary working and collection under the pretext of law and order situation. Allegation of Congress MLA showed what law and order situation in the state is, he said, adding that statement of MLA belonging to ruling party about the display of rate charts in police stations is a very serious matter.

He said that since the formation of the Congress government in the state, every person of the state is feeling insecure. Criminal incidents are taking place in the state quite often, he said and that incidents of crime against women are on the rise. Grievances of people belonging to poor sections are not being heard in the police stations, he alleged.

According to him, criminals do not have any sense of fear, and when it comes to taking action, leaders belonging to the ruling party often come forward to mount pressure to cover-up the issues.

Dr Singh said that the government has no control over the corruption prevailing in the government departments. No work is being done without bribery. Arbitrary working in various departments made people of the state feel cheated. The government is only indiscriminately distributing money after obtaining loans, he alleged.
