Will Shikhar Dhawan get Orange Cap?

In contention for the Orange Cap, Dhawan has over 600 runs against his name. For Mumbai, there hasn’t been a single 500 run aggregator during this year, but their top three batsmen edge out Delhi’s top trio in collective scores. [More Stats]

Delhi's swing bowling woes

A couple of key factors that are necessary to get this going would include how they overcome the Trent Boult threat against the new ball. The top order's vulnerability against swing has twice pushed Delhi to a point of no return just in the powerplay against Mumbai this season. Taking a cue from what Rajasthan Royals did earlier in the season, if Delhi overcomes this threat, it'd be the first step in exposing some of Mumbai's vulnerabilities.

IPL 2020 final Fun Facts: MI vs DC

The internet has been buzzing with chatter around who would lift the trophy today at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

While Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals are playing in their first-ever IPL final, Mumbai Indians will be looking to clinch their 5th title under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and extend their record of being the most successful team in the history of the tournament.

No matter who wins, fans have noted that it will be the ‘Men in Blue’ on the winning side. ‘Men in Blue’ is usually used to denote the Indian cricket team and it so happens that both teams in the Dream11 IPL 2020 final, don jerseys that are different shades of the colour blue.

While both franchise’s may bleed blue, only one of them will come out on top and paint the Dream11 IPL 2020 trophy with their team colour.

Fans from both cities will be at loggerheads as the winner of the Dream11 IPL 2020 will be decided today. However both teams have a touch of India in their names – while MI have ‘Indians’ in their franchise name and appeal to millions of countrymen, DC represents the heart of India and capital of the nation, Delhi.

β€˜Chhota dynamite’ Ishan Kishan delays his explosion

When Ishan Kishan burst into the domestic team as a fresh-faced teenager reputed for his explosive batting, his senior teammates spun a nickname for him. He was called chhota dynamite, as he was then short and scrawny yet equipped with a range of powerful strokes. Since then, he has grown a few inches taller, his biceps are defined and forearms toned beneath the inked head of a Roman god, a ripped constitution, and has cultivated a stubble to complement the earrings. Delhi pin hopes on Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant

With Iyer’s form tapering off, Delhi’s middle-order muddle has worsened as seen in the last game. Iyer wasn’t able to find his touch and his sluggish approach threatened to lose them the momentum that Stoinis and Shikhar Dhawan had managed at the start. His 20-ball 21 was a crawl in the context of that game and his team would have sighed in relief when he threw his wicket away. Rishabh Pant too has gone off boil; the bowlers have stopped bowling at his stumps, preferring to bowl outside off, out of his hitting range and making him try to swipe unsuccessfully. The left-hander has had no answers as yet. Even the spinners keep sliding it away from him with great success. As a result, Delhi keep pushing him down the order and even Axar Patel looks a better hitting option than him. Delhi will hope that the big-match situation brings out the best in Iyer and Pant. Mumbai Indians' batting prowess

Mumbai have the firepower of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard in their ranks. While the former has 278 runs to his name from 12 innings, including a blitz of 37 not off 14 in the Qualifier 1, Pollard has scored 259 runs this season with a strike rate of 190.44. Coming to DC, they too have someone like Shimron Hetmyer at their disposal. While he did not get too many games this season, the left-hander will be high on confidence following his 22-ball 42*-run cameo in Qualifier 2.
