Patna, Nov 10:The counting of votes in Bihar Assembly elections has begun, with the Nitish Kumar-led NDA facing competition from the Tejashwi Yadav-led Mahagathbandhan.
Counting will be taken up at 55 centres across 38 districts where the outcome will decide the fate of the Nitish Kumar government that has helmed the state for a decade and half.
Most pollsters predicted a landslide for the five-party Grand Alliance led by the young RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

Arun Singh, BJP national general secretary, says the National Democratic Alliance will form the next government in Bihar. Speaking to News18, Singh said,“In the elections that have been held all over the country, the Bharatiya Janata Party is waving the Congress Party towards the end. Whether the village or the farmers all consider Modi as the Messiah, money has gone to the account of women and farmers, giving ration to 80 crore people.”

The NDA has crossed the halfway mark as per the trends by the Election Commission of India. The EC trends for 238 of 243 seats says that the NDA is leading on 125- BJP, 70, JD(U) 48, VIP, 6 and HAM, 1. The Grand Alliance is ahead on 101 seats - RJD 62, Congress 20.
