Ludhiana: CT University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom. The University of Strathclyde and CT University have reached to an agreement on the desirability of exploring the potential for collaboration in the certain areas which are providing opportunities for the establishment of articulation agreements, opportunities for academic staff exchanges, joint research activities in fields of mutual interest, reciprocal exchange of students and various other areas of possible interest and collaboration, said Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-Chancellor.
Lecture series concludes
The Information Technology Department of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, concluded the weeklong series of lectures and practise sessions held in the online AICTE Sponsored Short Term Training Programme (STTP) on “Artificial intelligence and machine learning with data science”. “The programme was organised with the objective of sharing recent developments in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning algorithms and data analytics with practical demonstration. Experienced resource persons from institutions such as IITs, NITs, and Panjab University etc. shared their experiences on various topics in this STTP,” said Sehijpal Singh, Principal, GNDEC. TNS

Ludhiana: The India’s Wild Wisdom Quiz endorsed by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducted every year for the students of classes III to VIII. This year the theme of the quiz was “Reimagine our planet”. Mohit Verma, a student of Class VIII A of BCM School, secured the second position in the quiz. Principal DP Guleria congratulated him for the achievement.

To create an interactive and interesting learning of mathematics, the school organised an origami mathematical shapes making activity for students of classes IV and V. They enjoyed transforming a flat sheet into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting. The event was successful in intriguing the students about the exciting world of mathematics.

The school observed National Cancer Awareness Day to create awareness about life threatening disease. According to World Health Organization (WHO), cancer is the second-deadliest disease in the world. Educating students about the disease, Dr Upma Sharma, Emergency Medical Officer, Vijaya Hospital, through her virtual message, enlightened everyone with some vital facts about it and suggesting everyone with the need to know the causes and symptoms leading to early detection of the disease.
