Telangana reports 1,267 fresh COVID-19 positive cases till Monday night

Hyderabad, Nov 10 (UNI) With 1,267 new Coronavirus positive cases recorded till 2000 hours on Monday, Telangana's COVID-19 tally reached 2,52,455 till date.

After a low COVID-19 cases, recorded till Sunday night when only 857 cases had been registered, the state has resumed recording 1,000-plus virus cases again.

During the last 24 hours, four COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state taking the total toll to 1,385 constituting a case fatality rate of 0.54 per cent as against the countrywidemortality rate of 1.5 per cent, according to a state health department bulletin here on Tuesday.

As many as 1,831 patients have recovered from Coronavirus between Sunday and Monday pushing the cumulative recoveries to 2,12,489 so far translating into a recovery rate of 92.09 per cent while the National recovery rate was 92.6 per cent.

Presently, there were 18,581 active cases in the state including 15,794 individuals in home or institutional isolation.

Of the 42,490 swab samples tested to detect the contagious virus in the past 24 hours, the reports of 576 swab samples were awaited.

Since the outbreak of the virus, 46,84,766 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far, the bulletin said.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation reported a maximum of 201 positive cases followed by Medchal Malkajigiri district (109) and Ranga Reddy district (104).

The remaining cases of the Contagious virus were reported by other districts, the bulletin added.
