NEW DELHI: Nifty FMCG index was trading on a negative note at 01:31PM (IST) on Tuesday.
Shares of Jubilant Foodworks (down 6.44 per cent), Nestle India (down 4.11 per cent), Colgate Palmolive (India) (down 2.85 per cent), Dabur India (down 2.61 per cent) and Marico (down 2.52 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While United Breweries (up 6.71 per cent), Varun Beverages (up 4.05 per cent), United Spirits (up 1.07 per cent) and ITC (up 0.93 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty FMCG index was trading 1.11 per cent down at 30115.3 around 01:31PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 142.15 points at 12603.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 589.04 points at 43186.47.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.
Shares of SBI, Vodafone Idea, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., Ashok Leyland and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ashok Leyland, InterGlobe Aviation Ltd., Bharat Forge, Tata Steel (PP) and Pfizer hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while SITI Networks Ltd., Vikas Proppant & Granite Ltd., Jump Networks Ltd., Vasa Retail & Overseas Ltd., SKIL Infrastructure Ltd., WABCO India Ltd. and Laurus Labs Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
