Venkaiah greets people of Uttarakhand on state formation day

New Delhi, Nov 9 (UNI) Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday extended greetings to the people of Uttarakhand on the state's formation day.

"Greetings to the people of Uttarakhand on their State Formation Day. Known as Devbhumi- 'the Land of Gods', #Uttarakhand is known for its picturesque beauty and rich spiritual heritage.

My best wishes for the progress and prosperity of the state and its hardworking people," his tweet on the occasion said.

Uttarakhand was formed on this day in 2000 after bifurcating it from Uttar Pradesh.
