Niti Ayog hails UP's efforts to control Covid in NCR

Lucknow, Nov 9 (UNI) With nominal rise in the number of new Covid 19 cases was witnessed in Uttar Pradesh particularly in the NCR, Uttar Pradesh government has alerted the districts adjoining Delhi to be more cautious.
Though, Niti Ayog, has appreciated UP for controlling Coronavirus when Delhi and Haryana are facing steep rise, but UP health officials are taking no chances and has started preparing for any eventuality.
Principal secretary, health Alok Kumar here on Monday said as per the Niti Ayog communique , it said the positivity rate in Delhi and Haryana has touched 15 per cent but in UP districts near to Delhi and Haryana it is below 5 per cent. The casualty rate in Haryana and Delhi too have increased.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has directed all the district magistrates particularly of 4 districts where the number of positive cases is rising by over 100 per day, to review the Covid 19 situation twice daily and make arrangements for additional hospital beds.
Meanwhile, on Monday the number of fresh Covid-19 cases were 1636 while the people recovered were 1895. There are 22965 active cases in the state with 10,062 are in home isolation.
Yesterday, the total sample tests done were 1,38,253.
