Chandigarh-Baddi Railway line to get land

Chandigarh, Nov 9 (UNI) Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. Vijai Vardhan on Monday said that the 77.73 hectares land falling in Haryana for the Chandigarh-Baddi Railway Line will be transferred to the Railway Ministry by March 2021 once the acquisition process is completed.
Mr. Vijai Vardhan gave this information during the 'Pragati' review meeting held under the chairmanship of Cabinet Secretary, Government of India, Mr. Rajiv Gauba through video
conferencing here today. The progress of the projects of various ministries were reviewed in detail during the meeting.
It was informed at the meeting that the Railway Ministry has completed all the formalities for the Chandigarh-Baddi Railway Line in consultation with the officers of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and the remaining procedures will also be completed by both the states soon. Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works (Building and Roads) Department, Mr. Alok Nigam and officers of the concerned department were also present during the meeting.

Bhopal, Nov 9 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed condolences on Monday over the accidental demises caused in Satna District and this one.
“I have directed my officers to extend all possible assistance to the bereaved families and ensure proper treatment of the injured. I pray for peace to the departed and fortitude to the bereaved families for bearing this sorrow. May those hurt recover rapidly,” the veteran leader was officially quoted as saying.

Chandigarh, Nov 9 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder has appealed to the Kisan Unions to completely lift their rail blockade to allow passenger trains also to ply in the state, in view of the initiative taken by the central government to discuss the issue of the farm laws.
