Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 114.80 points up at 12378.35 on Monday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Overall, 40 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 10 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Divis Laboratories, BPCL, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank were among top gainers, while Cipla, Maruti Suzuki, Sun Pharma, Adani Ports SEZ and SBI were trading in red.

Traders were seen piling up position in Diversified, Airlines, IT - Hardware, Electric/Electronics and Beverages - Alcoholic sectors, while selling were visible in Trading, Agro Processing, Hospitals & Allied Services, Pharmaceuticals and Fertilisers sectors.
