PM Modi to unveil the statue of Swami Vivekananda in JNU campus, Vice-Chancellor informed

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil a life-size statue of Swami Vivekananda on 12 November at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus. University Vice-Chancellor M Jagdish Kumar gave this information on Sunday.

Kumar said in an official statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the life-size statue of Swami Vivekananda (from video-conference) on November 12 at 6:30 pm on the university campus. A program will be organized at Swami Vivekananda before the statue is unveiled.

He said that Swami Vivekananda is one of the most loved intellectual and spiritual leaders in India. He said that Swami Vivekananda inspired the youth with his messages of freedom, development, harmony, and peace in India.

The statue of Swami Vivekananda has been installed on the university campus with the support of alumni of JNU.
