Pejavar seer Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swami meets Baba Ramdev

UDUPI: Seer of Pejavar mutt Sri Vishwaprasanna Tirtha swami as part of his on-going tour of North India met Baba Ramdev, founder, Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar on Monday. The yoga guru recalled with fondness the strong bond that Sri Vishvesha Tirtha, the late senior seer of the mutt shared with Yogpeeth and recalled his contribution to the affairs of the state and the progress that the Patanjali brand established for itself across India.
Baba Ramdev made a special mention of the tours that Sri Vishvesha Tirtha undertook to North India in general and Haridwar in particular despite his advanced age. “The senior swami was very much like you now. His penchant for travel and his dedication for the cause of religion and other national issues was an inspiration to people around and society,” the yoga guru said referring to the hectic schedule that the Pejavar mutt seer had.
The swami and Baba Ramdev later draped each other with shawl in mutual respect for the work of the other. Dr Lalith Mohan Mishra from the Yogpeeth later took the Pejavar mutt swami and his entourage on a guided tour of the facilities at Patanjali Ayurveda and the Yogpeeth. Dr Mishra explained about the various products and formulations that Patanjali, the FMCG brand has introduced in the market and intends to release in future.
Later, interacting with Madan Kaushik, Uttarakhand minister for urban development, the seer urged this four-time MLA from Haridwar to construct a ghat on the Ganga river behind the Krishna Mandir of the Mutt in that state. The swamiji also urged the minister to name a prominent road in the temple town after his Guru – Sri Vishvesha Tirtha. The minister assured the seer that the Uttarakhand government will honour both these requests.
