Three mild tremors hit Dahanu taluka in Palghar

MUMBAI: Over a month after villagers heaved a sigh of relief, Dhundalwadi village in Dahanu taluka of Palghar district on Monday experienced three tremors.
The first jolt was felt at 5.31 am measuring 3.4 on the Richter Scale. The second tremor was experienced at 4.17 pm measuring 3.4. The third tremor of 3.1 magnitude was recorded at 9.19pm.
While no loss of life and property was reported, villagers in Dhundalwadi and neighbouring areas panicked. District officers reached the village to pacify the people.
Though the district has been experiencing tremors since October 2018, villagers have learnt to adapt to the jolts. Since one month, villagers had not experienced any tremor. The last reported tremor was on October 6.
