Of the 36 deaths, 13 were reported during the past 24 to 48 hours. Four were in the Eastern Cape, two in the Free State, one in Gauteng and six in the Western Cape

Recoveries now stood at 680 726, which translated to a recovery rate of 92%.
The total number of tests conducted to date was 4 993 081, with 12 641 new tests conducted since the last report.
