NBCU Bows PayPal For One Platform Ecommerce

NBCUniversal is introducing PayPal as its transactional partner for ecommerce on One Platform, its ad-buying model for reaching and measuring unduplicated audiences across all of its linear and OTT properties, introduced this past January.

Last month, NBCU debuted ecommerce initiative One Platform Commerce with Shop Telemundo, said to reach 91% of U.S. adult Hispanics.

Now, it's rolling out ecommerce across the full One Platform.

One Platform Commerce -- which to date has more than 60 retail partners, including Koio, Our Place, Paravel, Pour les Femmes and Sewing Down South -- will launch shoppable gift guides in time for the holidays, featured online on Bravo, E!, NBC Sports, SyFy Wire, Today and Telemundo, as well as in ShoppableTV segments during LatinX Now, Un Nuevo Dia, En Casa con Telemundo, SyFy, and E!’s Daily Pop, among other shows.

PayPal payment options will be used in ecommerce offerings across NBCU linear, digital, social, branded and editorial content, in both English and Spanish.

"With PayPal, we’re able to provide consumers a marketplace with unmatched scale—and a seamless shopping experience that’s secure," Josh Feldman, NBCU executive vice president, head of marketing and advertising creative, posted about the partnership.
