AP reports 2237 new cases of COVID-19, 12 die

Vijayawada, Nov 8 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh reported 2,237 fresh cases of Coronavirus positive and 12 more patients died taking the total number of deaths to 6,791.
A health bulletin here on Sunday said that 76,663 swab samples were tested in a period of 24 hours and 2,237 were diagnosed positive for Coronavirus taking the total number of cases to 8,42,976.
There are 21,403 active cases in Andhra Pradesh while 8,14,773 have been discharged as they recovered.
Out of the 6,791 deaths, 769 have taken place in Chittoor district, 619 deaths in East Godavari district, 631 in Guntur district and 589 deaths have taken place in Krishna district.
Out of the total positive cases, 1,18,589 cases have been diagnosed in East Godavari district, 80,766 cases in Chittoor district, and 88,676 positive cases were diagnosed in West Godavari district. So far 86,63,975 swab samples have been tested in AP.
