Militant grenade attack on PP, no injury reported in Anantnag

Anantnag, Nov 8 (UNI) Militants hurled a hand grenade towards a Police Post (PP) in this south Kashmir district Saturday night, official sources said.
They said militants lobbed a hand grenade towards a PP at General Bus Stand Anantnag last night. However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded at a distance without causing any damage. People who were present in the area ran for safety in panic after the blast, sound of which was heard in the entire town.
Later, security forces conducted search operation in the area but the militants responsible for the attack had managed to escape under the cover of darkness, they said.
