Congress to observe 'Day of Betrayal' on 4th anniv of note-ban

New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) Congress on Saturday said that the party will observe the fourth anniversary of demonetisation as "Vishwasghaat Diwas" (Day of Betrayal) on Sunday across the nation.
Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal here said, on November 8, 2016 Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the ban of higher denomination currencies of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000, which made crores of people face a lot of problems.
He further said that the state Congress units will hold press conferences across the nation and will make the people aware of the problems which are still faced due to the note ban decision.
The party will also launch an online campaign regarding the issue and will also explain in detail about the problems due to the same via the 'speak up' program.
