MLA Raj Kumar Verka’s cook ends life

Nam Bahadur Rana, alias Sandeep, a resident of Nepal, who works as cook at the residence of Congress MLA Raj Kumar Verka, on Saturday ended his life at store room located on the rooftop of the residence of Verka located in the Kennedy Avenue area here.

The police took the body into possession and handed over to family members after autopsy. The police have started inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC in the case.

The police said that he was upset due to illness of his father and further investigations were on.

The body was taken into possession in the presence of the cook’s family members on Saturday.

No suicide note was found from the spot, said police officials.
