The city Covid tally surpassed the 15,000 mark. With 98 fresh cases surfacing, the total number of infections rose to 15,025. Besides, two persons fell prey to the virus.
A 79-year-old man from Sector 40, who was suffering from diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hypothyroidism, died at Mayo Hospital in Mohali. A 60-year-old man from Sector 38, whose comorbidities are still unknown, breathed his last at Max Hospital, Mohali.
A total of 53 patients defeated the virus in the past 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries to 13,978.
