PATIALA: The Sadar Nabha police have booked four persons under sections of attempt to murder and other sections of IPC for allegedly assaulting and injuring a woman over her refusal to give ATM card to her husband. The complainant woman is a cop.
The police said that the accused husband of the woman works as an employee in a private factory and on Friday he demanded ATM card from her to further incur expenditure but the woman was unwilling for alleged useless expenses. The police said that the accused identified as Dilbar Khan of a village in Patiala first landed in heated arguments with her wife, a cop and then assaulted her.
“The complainant woman is hospitalized in a government hospital in the district after suffering head injuries. The accused Dilbar along with his brother and two other relatives assaulted the woman cop with wooden rods and also hit her on the head following which she was hospitalized. We have registered the case against the accused who all are yet to be arrested as they managed to escape since after assaulting the woman cop”, said station house officer Sadar Nabha police station.
The police said that the complainant woman was out of danger according to the doctors while the raids were being carried out to nab the accused. The police said that the complainant woman has two minor children of her marriage. The police said she had married the accused around eight years ago.
