Synopsis

The Times Now C-Voter Exit poll projected the UPA or the grand alliance to win up to 120 seats and the NDA to win 116 seats. The C-Voter survey gave LJP one seat and others six seats.

Most exit polls aired on television channels after voting ended Saturday for Bihar assembly election projected a clear edge to Tejashwi Yadav's Grand Alliance over Nitish Kumar's ruling NDA in Bihar while three of them went ahead and gave him a clear majority.

The India Today-My Axis poll gave Yadav's Mahagatbandhan between 139-161 seats out of a total of 243, with the NDA ending with 69-91 seats. Chirag Paswan's LJP could get three to five seats, and others could also get three to five seats.

Today’s Chanakya gave the Mahagatbandhan a suprisingly huge 180 seats and 55 seats to the NDA. It gave no seat to the LJP and eight seats to others. The majority mark in Bihar assembly is 122.

Republic TV-Jan Ki Baat exit poll also gave a clear majority to the RJD-led alliance with 128 seats, while it projected 104 seats for the ruling NDA, seven seats for LJP and four for others.

If these predictions hold true when votes are counted on November 10, then it would mean that Nitish Kumar's NDA will be out of power in Bihar after 15 years and that 31-year-old Tejashwi Yadav could become the youngest chief minister of the state.

Other exit polls gave a thinner edge to the Grand Alliance, with the Times Now-CVoter poll even predicting a hung house.

The Times Now C-Voter exit poll projected Tejashwi Yadav's front to win up to 120 seats and the NDA to win 116 seats. It gave the LJP one seat and others six seats.

The ABP-CVoter exit poll predicted NDA to get 104-128 seats and 108-131 seats for the opposition grand alliance. It projected Chirag Paswan-led LJP to get 1-3 seats.

TV9 Bharatvarsh projected NDA to win 115 seats, the grand alliance 120 and four each for LJP and others.

The three phase polling of Bihar elections ended on Saturday and the counting of votes shall take place on November 10, Tuesday.

Going by the exit polls, most of the voters in Bihar preferred unemployment, jobs and local level corruption as the main issue and voting took place around that. Also LJP moving away from the NDA proved to be a big trouble for the NDA. LJP is not looking to win many seats in the exit polls but surely they are damaging the NDA on many seats.

In a state, where caste plays a huge role in polling, the exit poll numbers show a clear division of votes among several castes especially EBC and dalits.
