Rs 40 cr to be spent under Jal Jeevan Mission in Jawali Assy segment: IPH Min

Dharamshala, Nov 7 ( UNI) Under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Jawali Assembly constituency in Himachal Pradesh, state government is going to spent Rs 40 crore for providing drinking water to the people, said Water Minister Mahendra Singh Thakur on Saturday.
He informed that this scheme will be completed within the next one year. With the preparation of this scheme, 31 thousand population of 14 panchayats of the region will get rid of the problem of drinking water.
The Minister said that several steps have been taken by the state government to strengthen irrigation facilities, diversify agricultural activities and increase the income of farmers.
He informed that along with bringing big projects in the area of ​​irrigation including centrally sponsored, special priority is being given to successfully implement the ongoing irrigation project in the state.
The Water Power Minister informed that Rs 180 crore will be spent on channelization work in Chhaonch Khad under Indora Assembly Constituency. He informed that special efforts are being made by the department to complete the channelization work quickly.
Channelization work will be done on both bank side of this ravine for a total of 68 km. So far, about Rs 65 crore has been spent on this project by completing channelization work in 25 km area. He informed that under Water Life Mission, Rs 45 crore is being spent on various drinking water schemes in this Indora Assembly constituency.
