Four women rescued from flesh trade in Thane, spa operator arrested

Thane, Nov 7 (UNI) The MBVV (Mira-Bhayander Vasai-Virar) Police have rescued four women from the flesh trade in Mira Road town of the district and arrested a spa and salon operator in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, a Mira Road police team conducted the raid on Toros Spa and Salon on Friday and rescued four women who were pushed into the flesh trade there, police said.

Police have arrested the spa operator Abraham Magardichian in this connection.
An offence under sections 370 of Indian Penal Code and also sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act has been registered with the Mira Road police station against the arrested accused.
Further probe into the crime is being carried out by the local police, sources added.
