Jangaon: ACB traps Irrigation DyEE for accepting Rs 50,000 bribe

According to the ACB officials, Ravinder Reddy demanded Rs 50,000 from a Class- 5 contractor Gugulothu Komurelli of Kusumbathanda of Raghunathpally mandal for clearing the bills.

Jangaon: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials have nabbed a Deputy Executive Engineer (DyEE) of, Irrigation department, Ch Ravinder Reddy while accepting Rs 50,000 bribe from a contractor to clear some bills for payments on Saturday.

According to the ACB officials, Ravinder Reddy demanded Rs 50,000 from a Class- 5 contractor Gugulothu Komurelli of Kusumbathanda of Raghunathpally mandal for clearing the bills. Komurelli renovated two tanks under Mission Kakatiya in Tharigoppula mandal in the district in the Phase-4.

As the contractor approached the ACB, the officials led by DSP Madhusudhan planned and organised the trap. He will be produced before a ACB court in Hyderabad.
